Contact information can be found on our Committee Link

We welcome National and International members, Seniors (over 65 years and  Juniors (under 16 years of age).

To become a member you will be required to complete our membership form (linked below) and pay the required membership fee.

Junior members are the next generation of pet owners, breeders, and exhibitors, we hope to encourage them to learn about cat behaviour, their needs and care, husbandry skills and how to show their own cats.

You will be invited to attend various functions and fundraising events throughout the year that will include seminars and workshops – these will also cater for our Junior members.

There will be an annual "show cat" and "pet" photo competition (fee per entry will apply and date to be confirmed). Show cat photographs will be judged by our President (Else Nylund) and Vice President (Ina R Selte) both resident in Norway. Pet photographs will be judged by our Norwegian Patron (Mrs June Evans). There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, in addition to this the Pet Photo competition will have an extra prize for Best Junior Photograph.

We encourage members to share and submit (to our editorial team) stories and photographs of their Norwegian Forest Cats, these may be published in our newsletters and on our website.*Subject to consideration by our Editorial Team*

We would also like pet owners to submit (to our web designer) portraits of their Norwegian Forest Cats  to be added to our Pet Gallery page on the website and some may be published in our newsletter.*Subject to consideration by our editorial team and web designer*

Our Show Gallery is for members to share and submit (to our web designer) photos and show results of their Norwegian Forest Cats building a history  of achievements and awards of all shows attended in any given year.

We look to engage any member with skills, venues, contacts, and any specialist knowledge in organising events, publishing and any other areas. Please contact our PR and Fundraising Officer.

We welcome ideas from members of what you would like to see as an event in the future. Please contact our PR and Fundraising Officer.

You will receive a minimum of two newsletters per year, packed with information including competitions for the younger generation.

In time we plan to have a yearbook printed capturing information and photographs of National and International members show and breeding cats.

And... of course we will hold an Annual General Meeting in February each year, open to all paid up members, to discuss the progress of the Society, new plans we have and the achievements the previous year.

Promote Membership Competition

We will have an end of  year competition for two groups of members promoting further membership to our Society. These groups are Breeder members and Pet Owner members.

Entry requirements to the competition.

When you hand out membership forms to your friends and family please write your own name on the membership form, in small text just below the "for office use only" section. At the end of the membership year we will calculate the most memberships from each group in that year. The winner of each group will be the individual who has succeeded in promoting the most accepted memberships and receive a lovely gift.

Good Luck everyone!.
